It depends on what parts you're talking about interchanging. Most will be all the way up to 89. Some may go as far as 95.

I probably know where some rear seats will be available pretty soon; as for the carb, "issues" is a pretty vague problem. If it is carbed you could get it running and swap it to propane later. Another route you could go is also doing a 22R-E swap later on; but that is all down the road if you get it.

<<< Robert's thread has been jacked; but it should be ok because he should probably start a new thread for the 4Runner he is keeping and not the one that is getting scrapped out>>>

Lol that is a really nice looking 4runner and for the price, you can't go wrong.

Yeah I should probably make a build for the real one

No problem; it was a good day even if we didn't get to work on your rig. Megan didn't quite share my exctitement about the welder when I got home; but she will come around, lol.

22r and the 22r series of engines are probably The most bullet proof engines ever made.

Since it's an 84 it already has the 22r. The 22re is found in 85 and later model and is an EFI engine meaning it is fuel injected and not carbureted. They're exactly the same engine except you have to fight a carb on one of them and not the other.

Guess that gives us a reason to go back.
