I'd reuse that housing and third then just regear. Just beat the housing back out and weld on diff armor.

Do you know anyone that has used the barnes4wd cover? I assume it will fit the front housing, we were talking about using that.

Not personally but I've seen pictures of one used in the front. MarsFab did the fab work for a guy on NC4X4 using that cover.

I'm not going to regear for a while. I'm going to get the money out of these 33"s. Besides I don't have the money for 2 R&P.

No I saw the Cragslist ad. He didn't have any luck on NC4x4.

Did it look retarded? Cause that thing seems MASSIVE. But maybe that is what I need

I don't think it is that much bigger than the stock cover, just thicker. You shouldn't have any problems bulldozing rocks :p.

If you wanna go that route, I'll give you a great deal on my diff. Priced too low to advertise

Werd. I haven't looked at the bottom of the housing so I don't know if I can get away with just replacing the pumpkin or not. If I can get the drain bolt out I'll call it good haha

I can lend a hand as well. I understand he doesn't wanna bug someone to work on this POS, but it seems like the hardest part would be the high steer.

Yeah that's the only part I am unsure about but I guess we can mount it like mine and not like yours :p

Yup lol. Mine is not far enough forward and it pisses me off. I would rather bug a friend to help get it right, than pay some shop to get it wrong.

All I have at this time are rear springs for the front. I still need Chevy springs, hangers, and shackles. I also need to buy a hi steer kit and IFS power steering box.

I also need the to fix the front housing as well.

Thanks guys. I would much rather tackle this with some buddies so I can help do as much as possible, but like you said I do not want to burden someone with my problems.

I do not have good luck with getting shop work done lol but SBC set up the rear shocks for me and I think they did a really good job. I am meeting with them on Tuesday to have a walkthrough of what I want done and what it is going to cost. They said they are pretty busy and that they would have to work my truck in between jobs, so it could take a while for it to be finished.

I am also leaning towards regearing the t-case myself to save a little coin.

So far I have priced these items:
    TG high steer kit
    IFS steering box
    Chevy leaf spring hangers
    Chevy bushing kit
    Chevy Shackle hangers
    New front hanger
Bilstein shocks (12"/14"?? rears are 12")

I need to find prices/where to buy:
    Front shackles
    Rear shackles

    What else am I missing?

If your rear shocks are good condition 12s and your on a budget I'd flip the up front and get 14s for the rear. Or just go 14s all the way around. Regardless your going to have to redo the shock mounts front and rear.

I'd look into the Ford shock towers for the front to save money.

The rears are brand new 12" Bilstein 5125. And I shouldn't have to redo my rear shock mounts.

I've read about those. Using F-250 shock towers I think?

I'm using F250 towers.. They fit good and work great! Using a 12" shock with them!

I thought about using the ford tower. My only question is the body that the shock fits inside of is so narrow and I was wondering if the shocks would hit the tower since the axle moves back and forth so much under compression and extension.

And honestly Chris, you may have to relocate your rear shocks again..
