...actually, just metal timing chain guides, a new timing cover, gaskets, hardware, and waterpump. Got the disgusting oil pan cleaned up, gonna paint it and maybe get the header on tomorrow if the weather holds.

There's no radiator in place, it doesn't even hold oil right now :p

The turbo is below it, see the orange blow-off valve...

Doing the rear main seal now, it actually looks like it was the rear valve cover half moon leaking, but oh well. Might as well go through this 297k W56 while it's easy.

Guess I should pull my valve cover before I drop my tranny too

It was hard for me to tell. I guess I expected more oil in the tranny. It's all over the bellhousing and was dripping in my driveway for while sitting for months.

I'm debating how much money to drop in the tranny now. Going to pull the clutch and look at it. New slave cylinder, clutch fork and pivot ball?

Yeah mine seeps a little there too. I just threw some kitty litter down in my driveway to catch that and the fluid from the tcase.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and replace the clutch while you have it out since the truck has high miles. Most people recommend to change the master cylinder with the slave cylinder too but I just did the one.

Ah yes forgot to mention teh MC. Im'a see what the clutch looks like. It's definately not OG, may have been replaced with the rebuilt engine. I won't be driving dis a lot, so it could last me a long time if it's still good.

Ordered an Aisin clutch kit, MC, and SC off Amazon for $160. Debating if I should get an LCE 30 lb. flywheel, $300 :frusty:
