This thread has helped me make up my mind. I was juggling back and forth between whether to get a Tacoma or a 4-runner. 4-runner it is!!! I loved looking through to see your progress. I don't off-road yet but I possibly could get into it. Baby steps...baby steps. haha! I am jelly of your 4-runner. Looks like you got a good deal to start with and it is so clean!

Nice build, I also went from a Tacoma to a T4R and have zero regrets.

Thanks man!! And I have to agree with you coming from my Tacoma I have no regrets either. Even though that Tacoma will always hold a special place, there is no comparison to the room and features you get with a 4runner IMHO.

Beautiful 4runner. Maybe one day I'll have a taco for the weekend and a 4runner for the week

Looking over your pics made me realize I need to paint over my fake wood interior plastic... I really dig the Sport editions interior.

Very nice ride you got! I myself have been going back and forth on the idea of either trading my taco (1st gen/ 4 door) or just buying a 4runner. I recently came across an '01 Sport with only 77k on it and I am very tempted!

How was the transition from a truck, having a bed and all, to an suv? Do you ever regret it or wish you had a bed, or at least space where you can just throw dirty crap? What do you do to accommodate for the lack of bed?
My bad for all the questions, I'm just really contemplating this and would like other people opinions that have true experience. Thanks!

Keep up the thread- looks sick!

Thanks man!! But I really dont mind not having a bed. It came with a molded rubber matt in the back so I don't worry about getting anything dirty. I highly recommend one of those if you do decide to go with a 4 runner. I hope this makes sense... I'm on my phone so there is no telling what auto correct is typing for me lol!

I appreciate the feedback. Ya I know exactly what you're talking about, kinda like a huge weathertech, custom molded mat in the back. I definitely would get one if so.
I actually went to look at the 4runner today bc my coworker is also interested in it. It's super clean and tempting! And your nice build is definitely giving light to the runner!

Nautiques are the best wakeboard and waterski boats IMO. Looks sweet on your truck. Truck looks bad ass by the way.
