someone else i talked to said his did the same for about a week then stopped. Nothing warms up, and no fuses blown. Just worries me obviously.

It goes about just past the headlight and floods out a little more.

hm. I wonder how mine will be different. I'm getting it for more mid range distance, it's an 8* spot, roof bar is 60/30 combo and the HIDs going by the mirrors are gonna be pencil beam.

I geuss just watch the switch but i've never seen something do that unless it's about to melt, then again i haven't used the FJ switches.

What;s the switch rated to and did you wire it through a relay? i'm assuming 20 amps and yes

I wired to a relay off the battery which is 20a in line fuse, then i used the trigger power for the switch to activate the relay off a 20a fuse as well. then i even put a 20a inline from switch to the relay.

I always have tire shine on. I dont care what people on a forum think of me. I detail for a living. Its not a good preview of my product if my shit is dirty.

I figured out my electrical smell in my switch. I found this wiring diagram here on TW and went out and checked. I had pins 30 and 85 swapped. I just tested it for 30 minutes and zero smell. Output is also 10x brighter.

Oh I know. A lot more then anticipated. But it's all good, I'll get wheels eventually, maybe after duals and a front locker.

Now, it's tied. Close competitions that I can't control scare the shit out of me.

Do you guys think it would be safe to cut some 3" rear spacers down to 1.5"? I don't want 3" in the back and have a set just laying around, but 1.5" or 1" would be perfect. I figure it wouldn't as long as it's a clean cut.

Seems fine to me, as long at it's a clean cut. Do-it-to-it!
