Hey guys- just bought a new tacoma that's replacing my 97 SR5 v6 4wd 5spd 4Runner. I love the 4Runner, but at 263,000mi, I decided it was time to upgrade.

I'm not sure what price point to list the 4Runner at- kbb says $3300, nada says $4800 and autotrader listings seem to be around $42-45 for this mileage... Nothing but junk on CL around me.

I'd say it's in 'Very Good' condition- paint is 7-8/10, interior 9/10, duelers w/35k on them, just had the clutch replaced (thus the tow truck pic) and the timing belt has at least another 30,000mi before needing to be replaced... serviced every 3k, and I have almost all the service papers to prove it's been taken care of. It's a beautiful rig, but with a lot of miles on it.

What should I list it at? Thanks for your help!

I'd say list it at $4500 but be prepared to take $3500-$4000 for it.

I'd agree with downpour. It looks like it's in great shape, but that's a good amount of miles. Where are you located? Also be sure to not use the picture of it being towed. Not the best selling point lol.

Being that its a 5 speed and has 30k till timing belt it would be a 6g truck if the miles are lower, but at 263k miles you are gonna get around 4-4.5k on a good day 3.5k-4k on a bad day.

t4r4- great info, appreciate it. The kbb pricing just seems so low for the truck. Trying NOT to be sentimental, but reading that it "should" be listed for $3300 (if it was in new/excellent shape) just seems like a slap in the face. What you guys are saying and what I'm seeing online with other private party 4Runner listings makes me feel better about listing it for more than kbb says I should.

KBB is not accurate, nada guide is what dealers use.
