Just when I thought they couldn't fuck it up any worse than they just did, they do.

Alcan stock height 4-leaf springs, greaseable main eye bolts, OME greaseable shackles, all energy suspension bushings, 2-row extra deep radiator, KYB gas-a-just shocks. ALL LED exterior and interior lighting including custom tail lights and blinkers.
Narrow headlights are "in". Look at the Jeep Cherokee and the Audis and many other new 2013-14 cars and you will see narrow headlights.
I have never been a fan of Toyota's bulging head and tail lights. And I think its funny how all of their SUVs have stepped up a size. Look back ten years and you will see what I mean.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
crazy angles? the 05-11 are almost straight across. they all keep the filler under the headlights to keep the lines.

Exactly, with HID projectors there is no reason for a giant bowl. It makes the projectors look out of place with all the empty space.

I really don't mind the new front end. People hated the 2012 Taco's, but now people are trading in their 05-11 for them. I do like the LED taillights though.

Looks like turd pie--No thanks. I was already planning to trade in for a 2014 Taco, but if it comes out looking like this then I'll probably go Tundra. Hopefully they won't cock that up too.

When the 2005 trucks first came out, people were criticizing it for looking "bug-eyed".

08-09 was just tails for the outside though. not a face lift or a remake. same with 10-11, just a simple grill.

But I agree, lots of pussy footing around. Maybe its to keep cost down but offer "new" things to keep people interested. Toyota really needs to steps up their game big time and address their issues and shortfalls.

I don't think it looks bad. I think the 3rd gen 4runner was the best looking though. Compared to what the rest of the auto industry is doing it really is not that bad, have you guys seen what Ford has done to the Explorer or what Nissan has done to the Pathfinder...?
