    Illuminated 4X4 switch, 3" lift,
So my daughter bought her BF an after markert spoiler with the 3rd brake light for his 2004 4Runner, "link to ebay page below". With very little trouble the spoiler was installed. Now I locate the stock wires to the 3rd brake light on the hatch, hook up the wires to the spoiler light and the light DOES NOT come on.
What I have done so far,
1). tried hooking up wires both ways, only 2 wires, either one way or the other should make the light work, but it didn't.
2). Quik Crimped 2 wires to the stock brake wires, took a voltmeter and got voltage, over 12v, when brake peddle is pushed. Hooked those temp. wires to the spoiler wires, still no work.
3). Hooked spoiler light wires directly to the battery, It works.
4). Hooked spoiler wires back to brake wires, still no work.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
