Giving the Chevy to oldest daughter for college and I am in the market for 2010-13 4 Runner SR5.

Looking at Toyota Certified Used and was wondering if anyone can give me any tips or pointers on what to look for in buying one. Haven't paid a lot of attention to 4 Runners in the past and don't know a lot about them - Pros vs Cons and faults.

    Thanks
    Rich

Not sure about the 5th Gens but some people have had issues with rust up in your area on older models

Well let me say that they are great cars in all situations. I have an 09 4runner 120k and runs like new! We bought because we live in the colorado mountains and have a lot of snow and our dirt road gets muddy. It preforms great! We have pulled a lot of people out with her with just at tires. We have the sr5 which comes with the center diff and it works great as well. The trail edition has rear lockers which is a plus if you do a lot of off roading. We Drive 100 miles a day and never had any problems and the only maintenance we've done has been oil tranny oil air filter and a set of plugs and it's a piece of cake to do. The 4.0s are great engines any model 4runner you choose you will be happy with
