got stuck in the snow

here a some pics of my truck parked in front of my house the past week.

JeeZus!! Well, there's probably not a truck out there that could just drive out of that!

 

Eh, it's not stuck, just not moving temporarily Send some of that snow out our way!

 

kind of pissed me off cause i nicked the bumper with the shovel digging her out. this week made me second guess the whole 2wd decision

 

I do believe 4 wd drive would have sit still for a while in that one too. dont look at it as your truck got stuck in the snow look at it as the snow stuck to your truck??? looks like mother nature just wanted to prover her point.

 

True but i had to shovel every last bit of it to get the truck out.
then had to dig the wife's Camry out of the end of the drive way

 

That Lake Erie snow is a bish. I used to live in PA.

 

Fuck yeah! We need some of that here. Frickin' rain in December is pissing me off.

That's a lot of snow and while 4x4 couldn't alone get you out of it, it certainly helps in snow.

 

Buffalo is pretty well set-up for snow removal. You can get along fine with a 2wd, just gotta be smarter than the truck and not go out in the middle of a blizzard. Oh and good tires!!

 

i had 4wd in my last truck and only used it a few times a year. it just wasnt in the budget this time around. i park on the street thats why it was so bad. pay loaders buried me in

 

i live in the city normal conditions get cleared quickly. this week was extreme

 

That's not stuck, that's buried. 2wd works just fine, 10-12" of fresh powder with Blizzaks. Get a set of snow tires with cheap steelies, don't bother with the TPMS sensors, $500-$700.

 

had blizzaks on the last truck loved them. still deciding on a wheel and tire combo for this one. just got it only 15oo miles on it.

I like Tirerack good service and reasonable prices. I bought the Blizzaks and put them on the OEM wheels, then purchased a nice wheel/tire combo for the other 3 seasons. I kept the tire sizes close to stock. The Toyota OEM tires I put on my Ranger which had the same size. The OEM tires truly are rim protectors, but my Ranger is 11 years old, I wasn't going to drop a bunch money on a truck that I only use 3500 miles per year. If I didn't have the Ranger I'd still ditch the OEM Toyota tires and sell them for $100 for all four.
