the cheapest thing for you to do is to swap out your 3rd member for another 8.4 running 4.10 or 4.30 or even 4.56 if you wanna go big with 33's for some reason Then run your 31's if you have proper clearance in the front. This should cost you about $100-$150 used and labor is free (DIY plug and play) Takes 2 hours by yourself, 1 hour with a friend.

You don't really need a truetrac in the rear when offroading. It is nice but a locker is better. It will cost about $500 for an LSD or lunchbox locker, and $800 for ARB air locker. If you want to do an axle swap, you can get one with the oem E-locker but that is expensive and also labor intensive imo.

Any idea where you can find a 3rd Member that cheap? I'm looking and new ones are $599 plus shipping.

Ebay, ttora and tw classifieds are your best bet for a deal. Although make sure you get one that fits your year. It's usually called an 8.4"/Tacoma/T100/non elocker differential. For a little extra East Coast Gear Supply, marlin crawler, and others will build you one with a traction aiding device like a lock right or arb locker.
