I have an 07 5lugger and found some lift leaf springs that claim to boast a 3 to 4 in lift and come with long u-bolts. I know I would need new shocks to handle the lift but my question is do i need shims for the drive angle and do i need a longer drive shaft? I have heard of people that don't extend the drive shaft and when they drive over a big bump the drive shaft breaks or has fallen off... Anyone done it?

While I'm at it has anyone figured out how to lift the 5 luggers past the 3" or in my case 2.75" leveling kit? I have AAL but I want to go bigger! :p

why do you want to raise the rear so much? If you have a two piece driveshaft you should still be fine with 3 inches of lift in the rear but you might get vibrations on the road if the driveline angle is too extreme. Check to see if you also have a slipyoke which helps.
