Yea it's pretty pricey. But hope I shed alittle light on it also hope I helped with tires cause tires are super pricey as well. BTW the pic of your truck in your sig is sweet. Always liked seeing 5-luggers do work and Offroad

Yea I have 31's on my stock gearing it's a bit sluggish but I don't mind to much sooner or later I'm gonna try and run 33's when I put a lift on and then re-gear to 4.10's :D but for now it's not to bad

You are in denial sir... Try offroading with 31's and stock gears. I had to rev it up and dump the clutch to get going when I stopped in the middle of hill crawl... I didn't get stuck but there was NO power. It took a LOT of throttle and high rpms to get going....

Why I stopped in the middle of hill? My buddy with his 4wd Tundra and 33's was crawling slow and we all know what crawling slow does in 2wd truck...

Hahaha I've only had my truck 2 weeks now lol haven't been able to do much Wheelin cause I had to legalize it from Nevada to Cali. And the tires it came with are crappy as fuh and don't grip worth crap. I got a 4wd not sure if it makes a difference lol but I have climbed little things not big things but it seems to do okay no loud revving from me lol, atleast I don't think it's loud :anonymous:

    Thanks for the responses Tony!

I keep hearing "Go 31's", but I'm not so sure if thats what I would prefer. Especially when it gets that big on this "little' truck, lots of things start to become underpowered and it will only cost more $$ to get it back. Does a 235/75/15 mesh with the lift or does it look unproportional?

What are your alignment specs post-lift?

    Notice the quote above though...

I just got done doing the 2" lift instead of the popular 2.75" and my alignment guy was bugging out about how the angles were still good. When I first pulled in he said it's gonna chew up everything

The front spacers looked just like the readylift. You need to trim all three bolts on the strut instead of only one. That's about all the difference.

The rear is fatbobs long aal and shocks.

This will maintain close to stock rake as the rear is 1.75" lift from what I could tell

Well guys I pulled the trigger the fatbobs kit is at the house. I bought pro comp shock boots locally. Oh and if I remember correctly the 2.7 auto has 3.56 rear gears. I may be wrong but it is around the ball park. So with my 235/75R16 Goodyear Silent Armors the truck is a little slow but not to bad. It does crawl well in 1st gear but I don't plan on breaking any land speed records so it will be fine.

Anyone know if the torque specs. on the fatbobs instructions are any good?
If not please list torque specs.

Also does anyone know if the long AAL needs to be clamped together at the ends like the factory springs.

My camber bolts are maxed out and the front tires are still a little \ / ...lol Its not bad though!

235/75/15 - the diameter is 28.8", width is 9.25" and for 31/10.5/15 the diameter is 30.98", width is 10.51" so... There is not that much of a difference!

If you do ANYTHING on this truck besides stock size tire, it will be underpowered... That is just the nature of the best. Seems like you go offroad and you could really use the added ground clearance the 31's will give you!

I noticed that on some Ready Lift kits for other models they include taller bump stops, for example the Nissan Frontier kit. Are taller bump stops not need to prevent bottoming out the front shocks on the Tacoma? Seems like taller bump stops should be a part of any spacer lift...

IMO I'd have better bump stops so the ball joints and shocks don't get torn up. I'm not going to run the spacer too long, just long enough for me to save up for a TC UCA kit. I've seen some nasty damage because people thought that spacers allow for extreme stunts.
