Well on that note, are there any cheap options for steel wheels that will fit a 1st gen 5 lug truck? Something in the $50-$70 range?
because 1st gens have a massive bore lol. anyway you could bore the 2nd gen rims out if you'd like, since they do have the same bolt pattern so your good on that.

Do you know what backspacing I'd need for them? I'm looking at the PCW52-5765 which is a 15x7 with 3.75" backspacing on a 5-114/5-4.5 bolt pattern. Is this correct for the Taco?

Also, what size tire are we talking? Can it do a 215/75-15 without issues? Will it need a lift?

Thanks so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help, I couldn't find this info anywhere.

yes 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. you can clear 4.5" backspacing if im not mistaken the stock rims are 5"-5.5" give them a call and see what they say if they ask if its lifted say no and you dont plan on it if not they wont sell you them to you. try that tire size with the 4.5 bs i think the might hit the fenders at full bump. not sure tho

Thanks man, I really appreciate your help here and in the lift thread. I'm asking all these questions for this truck:
