1st & 2nd gen / street & dirt skid plates

I've been making 1st and 2nd gen 5-lug skid plates for a while now, but designed more for an off road truck that needs every precious inch of ground clearance.

Example, the 2nd gen 5-lug has those 2 braces that bolt on at the front of the frame. My skid replaces those braces, and is definitely a lot stronger than those stock braces are, but hides up high and allows a little more clearance and better protection than those 2 braces.

This means it's there, but doesn't jump out at you. You have to be lifted or looking under there to see it. This brings me to my latest creation.....a street style plate that's easier to see and designed more for the lowered 5-lug or X runner owner who wants the added stiffness of the frame brace, the protection of the plate and tubes, and the sweet look of the polished aluminum with dimple die holes or w/o.

Basically just something cool under the front of the truck that makes people take a second look. Who doesn't like a skid plate right? Hell, I want to put one on the baby stroller when my wife pops here soon!

This one's going on a lowered truck and I'll tell the dude to get some pics of it mounted. I'm dying to see it on, it's the first 05+ "street style" one.

It's basically the same as the off road one, minus the optional splash guards on the side, and uses a smaller plate that drops down (but not too far) so you can see it easier.

All can be seen with options at streetacos.com.

2nd gen / street style

2nd gen 5-lug / stock

2nd gen / Off Road style (steel weld in plate optional)

1st gen / street style

1st gen / off road style (steel weld in plate optional)

Thanks for the reply Jeff. Unfortunately not too many yet. These are never for local trucks and always get shipped off and I rarely get to see them afterward. This new 2nd gen street skid pictured above in the first post is shipping to MA for a lowered 5 lugger (can't remember if it's a x-runner) and when it arrives he should definitely send some pics. I'm dying to see it!

i love the look of those skid plates and how they are tucked up and away unlike those two bars. I just gotta wait until after all of my training for the army to get cool stuff like this.
