shocks for shocks

has any 2nd gen 5 lug owner ever bought 1st gen 5 lug shocks for their 2nd gen? i want to know if they are the same so i could save some money in shocks.

 

They won't fit. 1st Gen suspension is different and tuned differently. Throw on some bilstein 5100s from downsouthmotorsports.com. they are the cheapest.

 

thanks for the tip, but they are only for 6 lugs, plus try eshocks.com. theres seem much less and the exact same.

I recently replaced them on mine I spent about 90 dollars on all four of them on http://www.shockwarehouse.com/ on the Monroe-Matic shocks its basically OE and I don't care for heavy duty use just everyday use and so far so good major improvement to what it was before.

I used Doetsch shocks on mine after getting the wrong ones for the 3rd time for O'Reilly. They were too dumb to figure out that the listed part numbers wouldn't fit and couldn't just search by measurments for me. Doetsch makes a 3" lift for my truck so I figured they had to have shocks that would fit. They had great customer service and got me the right shocks right away after personally calling me to verify what I wanted. They seem to be good shocks so far.
