Sooooo I have a 2005 2.7 5lug did the "black box mod" now debating on wheels and tires. I'm Pretty set on black pro comp 15x8 steels and general grabber 30x9.5r15. I guess my quistion is that pro comp also has the same thing in alloy wheels was wondering what the losses and gains might be. Thanks:confused:

On the 2nd gen 2.7 5lug in the front wheel wells is a black box bolted on behind the plastic liner. It restricts being able to put a 30x9.5 tire I believe with the box mounted you can run up to 235x75r15. So it's just to run bigger tires. In order to remove the black box I just took a razor blade and cut around the liner and unbolted it.

gearing will make a world a difference if you go bigger then 31s btw.

but if 30s..you should be fine
