I installed the Curt T-Connector wiring harness on my 2011. It plugs right into the harness on the tailights and you snake the wiring underneath the bed. Really easy to install, only needed a screwdriver, some zip ties and a drill to screw in a grounding terminal on the frame. I also shot a spot of spray paint on the frame where I drilled the 1/8" to prevent any rusting. The module has double sided tape, you can stick it on to the top of your trailer hitch draw bar under the bed and add some extra long zip ties for added securement. I've I've only needed to tow once since I installed it, but it worked flawlessly. [IMG]

This kit should work on a 2012 because it just plugs into the tailight wiring, which should not have changed from 2011 to 2012.

I used one from autozone, all plug and play, yes mine is a 1999 but the idea is the same, only thing I did different on mine was to use dielectric grease on my plugs and the harness, keeps moisture out and a good connection in. Looks almost like the picture above, and no cutting wires or soldering. I like mine, use it two or thre times a year to pull a friends boat, i added a cover for my 4 prong to keep out moisture and corrosion.

thanks to both of you. i went with a hopkins plug and play from Amazon for 37.00 and they had a mount for the 4 prong to go with it for 4.00. it was same plug autozone said fit my truck but they were 59.99 and he had to order also.i only have an access 4 cylinder and my salesman said i did not need a towing reciever since the bumber was capable of the 3500 lbs this truckcan pull.i had datsuns back in the 70's and 80's and the pulled directly off the bumper so i assume the toy is same way.i know what you mean by the electrical grease as i was a house builder and we used it on all service entrance wires.thanks for all the feed back.the hammerman
