Minor issues bro, unless you are scared of a little grinding.

Nice, I gotta push mine back a bit. Hopefully he has it when I got the coin.

If he lets them go, check out San Diego gear and axle. That's where I ordered those gears from and they were more willing to ship them to Ohio. $100 for the gears, $25 to ship, cheaper than ECGS.

So how do the fabtech uca's (or similar) lift the truck higher?

    vs*

For him it would be via coil and shock combo to achieve more lift.

Do our 2nd Gen 5 luggers have a zerk fitting anywhere on the Ubolts of the drivetrain?

TY That is what I thought. Getting ready to do a 60K maintenance this weekend and wanted to be sure. I looked really well when I did the 30K maintenance but did not find any.

These trucks are really maintenance friendly, I hope to get 250K out of mine.

Shocks are coming up at 90K and I wish I had more options similar to a 6 lugger. I do not really want to lift or lower the Tacoma but I would like to make it more stable with a larger load. Seems like I am always hauling bricks, dirt, or mulch. I have owned 3 smaller pick up trucks and the Tacoma is easily the best.

Baaaah!!! Stock 3.31 geared 3rd member is frigging not compatible with any other ratio gears??? WTF Toyota??? Seriously??? Every base Taco couldn't have 3.52 at least so you could go to any other gears?

    PITA.

You get a complete 4.10 third from any non TRD tacoma and bolt it straight on

Yeah, I know, still a PITA. I don't want to bolt a 140,000 mile third in my 2500 mile truck so I'll need a fully built one anyway. It is an extra $400 to replace a part that is brand new and has zero value cause it is 3.31 only.

I can't even begin to understand the logic of not using the same third on everything, they cut a special one for the base stick truck? Just put the auto third in it. 3.52 isn't going to ruin the EPA MPG rating.

Between this and the non wired CC harness, the non intermittent wiper stalk and the INCLUSION of a touch screen radio to streamline parts??? I don't get it.

Thankfully I learned this third member situation before I took it all apart or dropped it off to get it done.

I reinstalled the swaybar on my 5 lug, but never put the bushings or nuts back on.
It drove fine, kinda like my 6 lug lifted 1" with the swaybar.
