What type/size jack should I buy?

I need a jack, mostly for changing wheels and other simple things. What style/size of jack should I get?

no need to buy anything real pricey, your not lifting the whole truck at one time so really any jack will work. idk about the height but if its to short at full lift i've seen some put a short piece of 4'4 wood between the frame and jack to get a little extra height.

 

Yeah I've seen jacks lower on there own. Not wise

 

harbor freight $60 racing jack. cheap and light and works great

 

i wish i bought one of those harbor freight racing jacks. I believe they are dual pump so it lifts twice as fast. I bought a single pump low pro jack from harbor freight, labeled central hydraulics, few years ago and it is holding up great.
