Thanks, It was stupid how hard it was to get that crap off the tires.

Purple Power with a coarse scouring pad then SOS pads.

That stuff used to rinse off with a garden hose.

I though about breaking out my belt sander.

place cursor behind the star, left click and hold, drag to the right. *

I don't understand the purpose of a smaller tire and wheel? Are you saving weight that way? I thought I read you wanted to lift it, so I'm confused why you'd go down to a tiny tire just to crank up the suspension....not hating, just really confused.

No, virtually no interstate driving, though I have done some driving on 2-lane country roads, which help the mileage. I have a light foot on the throttle and generally get pretty good mileage in any vehicle I drive.

    I think you are confused.

The 5 lug trucks come with 215/70/15 tires.

I went up to a 235/70/15 tire which is almost one and a half inches taller than stock.

I didn't go as tall as I wanted because I didn't want to throw my speedometer and odometer off or screw up the gearing to mess up my gas mileage or engine power.

If I do lift the truck it will be a suspension lift.

Does that clear it up any ?

    Not taken as hating.

I think I gotcha, didn't realize that the 5-luggers were that different. If you went from a 215 though to a 235, but stayed at 70, wouldn't that only change your width? My understanding (by using the interwebs) is that the 235 refers to width, and the 70 is height from wheel to outside tread.

70 is the aspect ratio, it is 70% as tall of 215 mm and 235 mm, so my 235/70/15 tire is taller and wider than my 215/70/15.

Where did you get the running boards from?
