    Hello my fellow taco owners!

I'm trying to get a better sound out of the Taco (4 cyl) and I was looking at a WickedFlow muffler (any videos out there :pccoffee: ). Does anyone have any suggestions to get the truck to sound 'better' (more throaty... like a real truck haha). 2009 A-cab... any help is much appreciated.

just stay away from glasspack style mufflers. or your truck will sound like its farting.

I have an 18" Wicked Flow and I wouldn't recommend it. It is too raspy and not deep enough. I also have a DT Header but it is still too raspy. I am most likely gonna get a Magnaflow. I have a video on YouTube you can find with a little searching

I put a aero turbine 2525XL on my 2.7 and it is very deep at idle and sounds better than any of the exhaust that I have heard on our trucks. It's not like a ricer at all. It is pretty loud even with the built in resonator, but there is no resonance in the cab at highway speeds. Also just went through my first tank of gas with the muffler being the only mod, besides putting on 235/75/15, and my mpg went from being average 24-25 up to 26.2 on this tank, hand calculated of course.

save your money and get headers. that's the best sound and you actually gain hp. :)
