ok guys, i won't do LT so, the next big question.
SAS, or diesel swap? i want to eventual do both, and have a street legal buggy for DD.
the diesel would be a isuzu 3.9, anybody know anything about these motors?

i have a good platform, the only custom things would be driveshaft (i think) and adapter for the tranny.

You can get a cheaper truck that would be better to start with such as an earlier model Toy P/U. If you find a 4x4 86-95 with the 3.0 v6 then you're already on track to a good build.

First you have a transmission that will bolt directly into the 3.4. Then the transfer case is already there. After you have a strong frame that is fully boxed front to back. And to not drag on the huge benefits of it, it has a steering box that will handle a SAS and not explode like our pos racks.

Or you can go with the SA p/u's they already make.

yeah, for a while it'll stay my DD.


i think i might add my tractor build to the OP, should i? its a 1948 cub that hasn't run in at least 10 years.

Got the radiator hose fixed, installed spacers, and changed the shocks.
(all this was done in may, just never took the time to update)
