I'm new to Taco world. What is the black box? I'm wanting to modify my 5 lug reg cab and have been looking at Ready Lift's 2.75 2wd lift but I like the look of yours with the 30/9.50/15s.

808tacomas, What is the black box you all refer too and what are the benifits of removing it? I'm a noobie, any help is appreciated.

Hey y'all check my page for a new look. I have the fat bob lift and a bunch of other fun stuff! The black box 'mod' is referring to a stupid box that serves no purpose. It's located on the front driver and passenger side wheel well. When you remove it (unscrew it and cut some plastic) you can fit 32s on it like mine

Tires and wheels so far!

My only mods so far, functionally, are 235/70-15 cooper discoverer HT's and 15x7 MB TKO's and am very pleased with what the Taco can do off pavement with the ALSD. I did the bed cover and had the windows tinted but that's it so far...still contemplating lift. I hear alot of warnings about pushing to 2.75 being too much of a stretch on control arms and causing bearings, ball-joints and outer tire problems. Any opinions...or experience??

I heard the lift kits will make a non smooth ride. They say its better to just run the 235/75
