One of the best looking Tacomas I've seen recently was a silver five lug rolling down the highway that had been lifted to about pre runner height and was rolling (probably) 31" tires. It's a very clean look without the factory fender flares.

If you don't regear the rear diff to compensate, then I think I never got better than 20-21. After I regeared to 4.10, I have gotten as high as 25 mpg all highway with cruise at 65. Now most of my driving is on hilly highways at 45-55 and a little stop and go. Rarely do I take it on the interstate. My avg is 22 mpg recently.

You guys are doing well! My '04 TRD was getting 17-22... then I got a 3" lift and 33" BF goodrich mud terrains. Now for every 10 miles my GPS shows, my odometer shows 9.4 miles which really isn't too bad... So 1 real mile=.94 tacoma miles. My last fill up I pumped 7.58 gallons (to get a full tank) and had driven 96.4 (tacoma) miles. 96.4/.94=102.55 is actual miles driven, then 102.55/7.58=13.5 MPG!!! It may be 14 or so when the tank gets emptier and lighter, but damn is it guzzling! All in all though, it is such a beast off road that I don't care that much:D Anyone else's MPG suffering this bad??

Update: my last tank was 16.8 mpg!!! Maybe not as bad as I thought.

I get the same. About 22 mpg average with the 4.10 gears. I'm running 31 inch gen grabbers on my 5 lug.
