I thought glued badging was bad enough, but drilled and mounted...not cool!

I bought my truck from the dealer I work for and STILL made sure no one put a sticker on, or plate frames.

FYI those power washing wands that are MEANT FOR CAR PAINT, close enough, at a sharp angle, will take it right off with no residue and no damage to the paint. That is usually how your dealer will remove it.

i used the fishing line method on my dealer sticker and it marked up my clearcoat, most likely because the truck was brand new from the factory. And i used the hairdryer method on the "Toyota" and it worked great.

i always hated the dealer badges and stickers. but hey i dont blame them, free advertising.

No dealer crap on my Taco, but did have one on my last Jeep. I was able to use a plastic Bondo spreader (good edge, pliable so no scratching) to just work the stickers off with no residue or finish damage. It does, of course, depend on the type of sticker/adhesive used, but this may work. They're cheap and can be found at any auto parts house. I keep a set of them around for anytime I need an edge that won't leave damage behind.

My truck came with the dealer's name in vinyl lettering stuck to the tailgate. It peeled right off.
