Your management is asking for trouble with a sentiment like that. Drywall will mold easily. I would say just have them remove it. Inhaling mold could seriously mess you up, for life. I would keep a close eye on the drywall, carpet and whatever else is under it. Make sure everything is bone dry before reinstalling. If you're unsure give it an extra day or two

If you dried everything before mold started growing then your flooded room should be no problem, especially since it was flooded with municipal water, which still has a bit of chlorine in it.

Sounds like the landlord got right on it and had people do the right thing.

And, yes, leaving ventilation fans running and windows open will definitely help in drying out your apartment.

I wouldn't be too concerned with mold or other problems with just that amount of water. You got it up promptly and everything would have dried out pretty soon after that, no more than a couple days. From the looks of the carpet it would have dried pretty quick as well.

Of course will be plenty of folks waiting to take your money for a "professional cleanup".

Now having a pipe burst while you are gone for a day or more, that could be a different story on the damage.

Speaking of washers, I never remember to do it, but they recommend to turn off the supply when not washing. There's usually just rubber hoses going to the washer and they could burst anytime while pressurized.
