5700 fitment

I have a Pioneer flips screen avh5700 at my house that i used on a past vehicle. what will i need to make it fit into my tacoma? im awful at audio stuff so thanks in advance.

 

You will only need a dash kit and a wireing harness. just soldier or crmp the harness to the wires on the headunit and you are good to go

im kinda confused. if i get a harness why would i need to soldier? i thought a harness would be just plug n play

 

you need to match the wires on the harness you your head unit. It is all color coded and hard to mess up. It just ensure the right signals are sent to the right wires. You can crimp which is what I did. very easy to do, just stick the matching wires in each end of the crimp tubes and squeeze

There is the tool you would need along with some crimp tubes, i suggest either this size or on size smaller

Sorry to bring back up an old thread, but have a question. Going to order my dash kit this week... but where do i get a wiring harness from?

 

Who are you ordering it from? If it is ********* or Crutchfield they usually are included in the dash kit.

 

Not sure. I've been hearing a lot of bad stuff about taco tunes on here taking forever to ship stuff out. And everyone says crutchfield is high. I'll just have to look into it a little bit
