I was going to say something about how everyone is telling OP to slow down. Come on, what are you all the people who stick to exactly the speed limit or do 5-15 MPH below it that give me issues when I'm trying to get to the work in the morning? I'm no saint behind the wheel but I'm not a lunatic either; I go with the flow of traffic. Something tells me the majority people are like myself, and not being reckless and plain stupid.

Some people luck out and others just get unlucky here and there. I have gotten one speeding ticket but I was in a car that screamed for attention. Yes, I was about 10MPH over what was posted but the cop "guesstimated" me at 30MPH because he felt like it. I didn't drive any different after that day.

If you are driving everywhere going as fast as possible 100% of the time, you need to slow down and deserve your ticket. But if you're not reckless about it, so be it.

There are so many things to consider when it comes to tickets and all the controversy of people speeding but that's just my opinion, short version.

OP, as others have said, it depends. Except a couple hundred as a very vague idea though.
