Mini photoshoot in the wild

Took Fiona out to the closest trail to my house for a few photos...couldn't take more shots, because traffic was so heavy up and down the trail today.

I think she looks better covered in dirt

You need that nine inch lift to traverse that paved creek crossing.

 

I figured since all the cool kids with their baseball caps that still have size stickers on them do it, why shouldn't I? I want to be cool too! I just picked up a costco pallet of Monster energy to start.

 

I wonder how far you could drive up that crick.

 

About 200ft. It's not deep at all, nor are there too many obstacles...the problem is the road cuts back and forth over it, and every time it does, the downstream side drops off like 6 or 7 feet because of all the concrete and rebar they've put in place to hold the road.

I kept trying to take pics of the truck with the wheels backed into the creek, but every time I got into position, a Jeep or an X5 would roll up and I had to move so they could cross.

 

What kind of camera?

 

Nikon D3000 DSLR with a 55-200mm telephoto lens. Very basic setup.

 

Nice truck! I like your wheels. Do you have any pictures of the wheels clean? And are you running wheel spacers?

 

Thanks, the wheels are 16x8 Ultra Type 164. I have a set of Spidertrax 1.25" spacers in front because the backspacing on these wheels leave literally 1mm of space between the spokes and calipers. Too close for comfort without the spacers, but they give the truck a nice aggressive stance.
