Welding Up "Street Lock" Rims?

    Is it possible or has it been done to weld up some fake beadlocks on some steel rims? Im thinking these in particular from wheeler's:

    Why not weld up the real thing they make DIY kits for this So you can make them into real bead locks

    Well my main objective is to save $50 a wheel rather than buying the pro comp streetlocks. I honestly dont need bead locks, I just llike the look.. :anonymous:
