Rear leaf TSB and 5100's/eibachs set at 0

Looking to get the rear leaf TSB done and was wandering how much rake I'd have with the 5100's and eibachs set at "0" on the front? This has been beat to death on here but I can't seem to find it. I have a 2010 dcsb sr5. Thanks for any and all input.

 

I had TSB done on my 2010 and installed EIbachs, 5100's set at "0".
Then added 265/70/17 Cooper S/T.
First pic is after TSB/ Eibach
Second is with Coopers installed.
Little rake, but that's what i prefer unloaded.
Sits higher, but not too high. Rides much firmer.

That looks good. Mine might set a little lower in the rear due to it being dc.

 

Rides much firmer?

Is the ride uncomfortable now? Does the rear end bounce all over the road when you hit a bump?

 

Uncomfortable? No. It now rides closer to my 2004 TRD. The biggest difference is when you hit a small log now, the front end absorbs hit once and thats it, no extra bouncing. The back end will chatter a little over some bumps- here in Pa we get pavement heave bumps from winter, and those will cause the rear to skip a bit. Some of my "truck ride" comes from E load tires, also. A 4 ply would probably soften ride. Make no mistake, the factory ride is gone, but I wont be changing back because I like the way it drives now.

 

What is a 4 ply? Would new rear shocks soften the ride? I'm from PA too and I know all about pavement ruts. I had a vehicle that would hit the ruts in a turn and the rear end would pop up and send me a jolt when it landed. I don't want to do that to my truck.

 

Overall my ride feels better, maybe "plush" with the stock rugged trails I'd stay away from 8 and 10 ply tireson our trucks, I think it really hurts performance and gas milage. I did the TSB a month or so ago and set my 5100's @ 2.25" with my stock TRD OR springs and still have about .5" in the rear rake. I would do the front first then the TSB then Toyota will do a free alignment....

 

I thought the TSB doesn't apply to trucks newer than 2007? What did your leaf springs have before the TSB (2+1 or 3+1)? Did you ask Toyota to put an extra leaf in for an additional charge?

TSB rode same as stock after a month.

The eibach are softer than my crap trd offroads they replaced but are supposed to be a bit harsher than the trd sport due to the different springs both models come with. You are a SR5 model so the same as the trd sport progressive springs. You will notice it be firmer for sure. There are also the OME 884 springs if you want a slight lift and closer to stock ride up front.

In the winter the springs are a lil too rough (stiff tires and springs in the cold) but in the summer by me they are perfect and stop the nose dive they truck had during braking/cornering. I am on factory P rated tires but upgraded to hankook atm's about 1/2"-3/4" taller than stock

 

Not feeling the difference yet and thinking about price and the Taco lean I want to stick with my offroad coils and set 5100s at either 1.75" or 2.5" I wouldn't mind a slightly tougher ride. I'm afraid if I go to high at 2.5" I'll have alignment problems. Thanks for the info! You lift looks good by the way...I'm aiming for something similar (minus the 17" upgrade).
