Ass end seems a little loose.
I'd rather have a bit of understeer rather than oversteer, but I'm not into drifting.

Reserving judgement until after I see The Stig's power lap time.

    The question....

Run it on the track or drop it from a building then run it over with a lorry?

hahahahaha hard to tell. It does look sorta of Rx-8ish. It cracks me up when they say it is affordable at 30,000GBP. Right. Affordable.

Rear wheel drive and only 200 HP and 170 lb-ft

STI would smoke this POS and its useless in the rain or snow

Why not just buy a Mazda

    Same here.
I suspect the price level varies by market. Price USD is 25-27k optioned out (not many options available, Bespoke is the only significant item other than paint film)

Can you get a comparably-performing Mazda for $27k?

200hp in a light car is nothing to sneeze at. No, it's not Porsche territory, but the Delorean only had around 135.

Mmmmmmmm...... Delorean......where were those made anyhow? I can't see the video but I gather we're talking about the new scion. I like it. I heard they start at 19k

I believe the factory was in Ireland.

The US Scion site is showing the manual starting just over 24k and the auto starting around $26k... you can only add maybe $2k in options including Bespoke and the paint protection film.

Street price may very well end up being closer to 19k in a soft market for a manual with no options, but it's got a solid selling point in the boxer engine. That's a new one for Toyota.

I have to agree, minus the Mazda part. I was quite let down with the specs. I will say it looks nice, but I have my truck for looks; I want something fun now.

So fucking disappointed in how this thing turned out. C'mon Toyota.

151lb/ft according to everything I read.

This thing needs 500 fewer lbs. or another 500ccs of engine, take your pick.

Isn't this the Subaru BRZ that's here now? I thought the BRZ, the 86 and Scion FR-S were basically the same car.

Correct. Co-developed by Subie and Toyota.

I still don't see why you wouldn't buy an STi instead of the BRZ, or a V6 Mustang instead of the FR-S.

They are the exact same car. This was a join venture between Subaru and Toyota

We only Have the Subaru And Scion versions in the US as scion is part of toyota

People this car is heavy compared to how small it is! Not worth the money

I would have assumed they would have equipped it with more horsepower to compete with the likes of the Mustangs, Camaros, and dare I say it Hyundai Genesis coupe.
All of those cars, if you sticker them between 25-30k, get you anywhere from 274hp to 348hp. They would have been better served by giving it at minimum the WRX base motor.
