Hey guys, I am looking for someone with a 2012 who wants to be my guine pig so I can design my 2012 lightbar. I have built many light bars and bumpers for members on here. If you search my threads you can see some examples and feedback from members, so check that out if you wanna see the quality of my work. I also got some other pictures of my standard light bars I make for the other 2nd gen tacomas as well.

I am looking for someone who can leave there truck at my shop (house) for a day so I can build my templates and do my CADD work to start making these things. In return you will get the first one I make free of charge (powder coating not included).

Just to give a few stats on what I am looking to build. All plate work will be 1/4" laser cut mild steel plate. The tubing will be 1.5" x 0.120 wall mild steel tubing. Looking to have tabbing for four(4) hello 700ff lights as those are what most people run. This will be tight as the grills are a little smaller on these trucks, and I don't like to have the tubing hanging out past the edge of the grill. But this will all be figured out once I get my hands on a truck and start building. They will be 100% bolt on and will come powder coated a semi-gloss black when done. I will sell raw as an option as well in case you guys want to color match or do a different color. Also all hardware will be included in the price. Right now I am shooting for a price of $140 plus shipping, but that is not firm. I will have to see what laser cutting and braking will cost me on these as I know they will be a little more complicated than the 05-11 models.

I am located in Tehachapi, CA 93561. I am near Backersfield or Palmdale/Lancaster. About 2 hours north of downtown LA.

Please let me know if you wanna be a doner truck, or if you are interested in purchasing one of these once I get them going. As soon as I get one designed I plan on moving as quick as I can in cranking a group of these out. Please keep in mind I am full time Air Force, so I am not as quick as the full time fab guys. But what I lack in full time I make up for in price and quality.

Few pictures of my other light bars:

I put in a light bar on my 2012 Tacoma TRD Offroad. The frame and mounting brackets exactly the same as a 2011 only thing that changes is the plastic on the lower bumper. I cut into it very easily.

I am sure there are many ways to modify them. However I am trying to build one that requires zero modification to the truck, and is designed to fit the styling of the 2012. Being something I want to sell so that anyone can install and use it, I am just being picky, but thats just how I am...

Can we see a picture. The mounting bracket in the photo above is a lot shorter then the one in the photo on the other thread of a 2012 version.
