Hello, I recently purchased a 2011 tacoma 4x4 regular cab and love it. I frequently carry tools and other things in the bed of my truck, and was wanting some suggestions on a quality but affordable bed cover to help keep my belongings dry and out of sight . I really don't know what brands are good or what ones work well on the Tacoma. I also don't want to spend too much. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Tacoma World. I have an Extang hard tri-fold. I like it, and would recommend it, but you would also need to get a lock for your tailgate.. like Pop&Lock. Throw those words into the search tab and you should get lots of pictures to give you an understanding of the different covers and locks you can get. I have seen some tonneaus come with their own locking mechanism. Best of luck in your hunt.

Thanks for the input! I looked at that one and it seemed nice. I'm also looking at the vinyl type also and they are cheaper it seems. Anybody have any input on that type?

Any of these will keep dry and out of sight. I'd also recommend the lock as Highland Logan mentioned. Good luck with your search!

Truck Covers USA check them out on the web. You can order one from autoanything.com and get it much cheaper. I believe they have no shipping or tax right now. I had mine installed a few weeks ago and absolutely love it!

As mentioned above you will need to get an 8521 pop & lock. This model pop & lock will lock and unlock with your key fob. I picked mine up from Amazon.com. It is a super easy install as well. You can do that yourself with no problems.
