    Here is a very easy way to get an idea of what a desolder tool is.

    They come in all shape and sizes, but I chose this one so you get the idea of how they are vacuum operated. A good idea to have when working on circuit boards. If I am not mistaken, toyotanation had a fairly detailed writeup on this task. I would do some soldering research and definitely a little practice before hand. If you have some prior experience you should be good to good.

    Ya I am studying mecahnical engineering and LOVE soldering, and on a larger scale welding. Both require such finesse and precision in such different ways. But I do need some practice on something so small:
