Yes, I'm still married - thirty-seven (37) years. Not another person in this world I can trust more, depend on more, talk to more, and so on. Relationship has not always been perfect (a few rocky times), but never truly regretted the choice. Also never let what might be (the possibility of another good relationship with another woman, etc) interfere with what is.

Had similiar trip as OP with first go around except she had custody and did the nagging bitch 15 yrs of child support and be black balled for never doing enough even tho I always did way more than what was decreed financially and visitationally, which was by choice. Never would have married her other than the responsibility of children on the way which I was intent on trying to make it work despite the personality clash. Divorce for me was a happy thing, got to quit one of my jobs and she only got what was decreed, not everything like she was beforehand. Kids are 24 now and have lived thru the realization period of mom's slander bullshit not being reality. The 2nd wife has been around since the kids were babies. She was coworker and friend, then roomate, then eventually more and after 10 yrs of testing her out to see if she was really up to me and my situation and all that that was then we got married. We are teammates against the world, have each other's back, undying loyalty to one another and couldn't be happier on that front. Now we are just worried about the kids getting their lives going in a positive manner shedding all the nonsense they grew up around in their other household. It's a work in progress....congrats to OP and hope your 2nd works out as good as mine has.

Been married to my best friend for 32 years.

She was the one that suggested I buy myself a new truck - how good is that?
