Anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the latest style access cab (11/12?) rear seats into an earlier model (07) access cab? Or is there some aftermarket option for better seats. The new style seats look way more comfortable for occasional passengers than the jump seats I have. Thanks

Do you have a pic of your jump seats? And are the 12 seats the same as 10 seats? I don't like the center console in mine.

I'll get a pic. There's no center console in mine so I'm guessing yours is probably like the 11/12. Does yours have head restraints?

Yes, and they flip down. I always keep the seats covered because I don't want the sun to damage them. Nobody ever sits in the back, so I'd rather make more use of the storage capacity and the center console kind of messes that idea up. I took this picture about a month ago to show another member how the headrests fold down for better visibility.

can it be done? yes, but it will be a huge pain.

the guy in this thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-access-cab-rear-seat-conversion-05-08-a.html
did the reverse of what your asking, but it should help you out also.

You can also look through this google images search link here for other ideas of what you can do back there:

I have the lower pic and I'd like the upper pic. :) But not sure if all of the work is worth it.

Great info thx. I have bigger kids and I like the idea for short camping trips, etc. Esp with the head restraint. Storage is great with my version, esp the fold flat deck, but the seats are useless for all but Very short trips
