Do you think black would look much different than it already does?

I'd leave it black.....Infact, I'd remove it and put on a good aftermarket intake like a URD or AFE.

I know this is off subject but how hard was the carbon fiber wrap to apply?

Not hard at all.....A heat gun is needed for the more challenging angles though. If you wanna do the flat pieces buy a little extra and get to work!

dont rice out your tacoma, leave it black

fake carbon fiber looks cheesy and has no place on our trucks, same goes with bad rattle can jobs.

there is nothing worse than opening the hood of a car and seeing color coordinated wire loom, stickers and spray paint all over everything.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
If you are really wanting a black theme it makes sense just to leave it as is. I disagree with the above, the fake carbon can look really good if done right. I like the black theme with an accent color (other than the chrome), personally if I ever get around to it, I would like to add red brakes and a few other accents to my BSP truck.

I like personalized engine covers--love seeing them at local car shows. Lot of great starving airbrush artists here in San Antonio.

With a black truck, you could go with a lot of different themes but I would leave black as the primary color to keep it tied into the truck's color. Just a suggestion. Have fun with it... it's just an engine cover and you can always just repaint it flat black, so why not go wild?

I think the 3M Di-noc vinyl would look good on an engine cover. It would still be black, but would give it a texture and dress it up a bit.
