My trucks measurements from ground to fenders

Ok, so I just ordered a front set of 5100's from DSM, now I'm trying to figure out what size AAL for the rear to get so I went and measured my truck from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare in the front and then the back. This is what I have, front - 34 1/2" and back - 36 1/2", is this about right, it seems higher than normal in the back to me? Also it doesnt have TSB done and its a three leaf pack. If I set the 5100's at 1.75 and do nothing to the back it should sit about level, right? I was really wanting to put a 1.5" AAL for towing purposes but I dont want the back to sit too much higher than the front and I realy wanted to stay away from the 2.5 setting on the fronts because I'm using stock springs and the allignment issues I've read about. What should I do?

 

This should help you. I did this back when I installed my 5100s. Changes to the rear were the result of the Wheelers 1.5" AAL (with my 3-leaf pack).

 

Just an FYI: A much better, comparable, and consistent measurement to take is from hub center to fender lip. When you measure from the ground you introduce all kinds of variables and inconsistencies.

 

Agreed, so long as you're interested in height. In my case, I just wanted to know the "difference" in height between stock and the various settings. Those variables (tire size and inflation) don't impact the "difference" measurements. Those differences can be applied regardless of tires.
