Picking up my TRD exhaust tomorrow morning. (7/11/12). I was hoping a local member could help me out with install in the evening. Really excited to get it on. I'm not really mechanically inclined, though I think the install is pretty easy. I live in Buena Park, by Knotts Berry Farm. Kind of a shot in the dark, but thought I'd ask!

Stop by the local dealer, and get an Exhaust gasket. Then hit an Auto parts store, and get a small tube of Copper RTV. If you want to do it yourself, remove the 2 nuts on the OEM exhaust, near the Y pipe flange, remove the pipe from the rubber hangers, starting at the rear, and working forwards, making sure not to let the exhaust tip up and ding the side of the truck. Then, snake the exhaust out thru the back, or side. Which ever you find easier. Then, apply a thin layer of the Copper RTV on the exhaust flanges (Y pipe and cat back), then put the gasket on the Y pipe. Run the new cat back up and install onto the rubber hangers. WD 40 helps. Then, attach to the Y pipe, and torque the nuts to 32 ft.-lbs.

    Use this:

    if you need a visual.

Chris if I didn't have to go to work, I'd be there! It's super simple though, just a matter of getting the stock one off the hangers and loosening the two bolts that hold it to the Y-pipe coming from the engine. I did mine outside in a parking lot at night with nothing more than a simple socket set. :D

Very easy, lift up the back by the hitch or the bumper to get some space between the rearend and the body, slides right in.

All done! Easy, but definitely needed an extra set of hands. One of the bolts went back in a little off, but it doesn't seem to be leaking. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342060198.942003.jpg

Whipper has an extra set of bolts, so I will replace them with those.
