I took off my badges and blacked them out, but before I put them on, is this tape safe to use?

Im at work and can't see the picture but you can go with 3m brand double sided tape. It seems to be what most people go with after reading a few de-badging posts

This is "Scotch 3M EXTREME Mounting Tape" The extreme "permanent" part is what scared me. Just picked it up in home depot without looking at it thoroughly.

I don't know if I'd go with anything "permanent." What if the paint flakes off over time and you wanna re-do them, then it may be a pain in the a$$ to remove them
