Search on eBay. There are people selling the metal buckles that you can just leave clicked in, or you could go to a salvage yard and cut one off of another Toyota. I think the buckles have been the same on all of the cars and trucks for a while now.

    Stock for now
    I bought a usb obd cable w/ a cd
It worked on my 2011 tundra & have been told it works on all toyota vehicles though all I own is a tundra.
It let me disable chimes, one click open all doors, activate passive alarm, change my autolock setting, tpms rim swap
It 32 bit software so it runs great off my old dell xp laptop.
I wasn't interested in upgrading my Win 7 to run vm xp.

I was told about it on tundratalk. Cost $35
    thread link
I do not have my tacoma anymore to try it out but it had all the toyota models in the software setup.
Maybe an option for the 2012s?

FWIW I wear my seatbelt always. Usually it is when I am using my trailers, hooking up or moving them about the yard or getting the mail.
Initially I made a plastic template of the buckle out of a dvd case. It worked great too but I always misplaced it around the truck eventually.

The cable kit was the best $35 spent!

The dealer turned mine off for free. They wanted to charge me first, but I told them it's listed in the manual (pg 585-ish?) as a customizable option and I knew other people had got it done for free.
Just get it done the next time they change the oil.

go to a pull and pay or a junk yard and buy a old one stick it in when you want the chime gone
take out when you want to use the seat belt.
cost me $8.00 for two at the pull and pay in denver,
got mine out of a old mini van. same size works great.
dealer sucks i hear if the battery gets disconnected you have to go back and get it done again.

mine also work in my girlfriends new 2012 impreza so we use them in there too.
