So Wednesday morning I jumped in my company F250 to go to work. I noticed that there were ants all on the floor board and dash. I figured that I may have left some kind of food in there and wasn't too concerned about it. Thursday evening I jump in the Tacoma and I have the same problem! We've had a ton of rain this week, so I just figure they're looking for high ground. My buddy down the street is having the same problem in his truck. I went to Home Depot today and picked up some Home Defense ant Traps and HotShot spray, put 3 traps in my truck and sprayed the tires down. Anyone else dealt with this before? Tips or advice?

Yup I don't park on gravel anymore because this is what usually happens here.

In the mean time take a wet cloth, put dish soap directly to the cloth, then run the cloth over their trail. It kills the "scent", kills the ants and does not harm your truck. The ant baits you left I believe are meant for the ants to carry back to the nest to feed their buddies and they all get poisoned at the nest. You probably don't have a next in your truck, and once you drive away, it makes the purpose of the bait useless.

I'll try cleaning up their scent like you suggested. I saw on the directions "see results in a week". My truck sits in the driveway all week since I have the work truck, so I'm sure I'll kill some of these little bastards.

Oh I forgot to tell you don't rinse the area you wipe with the soap. Leave it to dry. They will try to come back but they can't find the scent. You can wipe it down later a couple of days later after they are gone.
