Got sick of looking at the little rust spots on my rims, so I decided to paint em. I haven't seen any other Timberland Mica Tacos on here with painted steelies some thought I'd share the photos. Forgive the iPhone pics, and the truck isn't washed.4a432a8f-744e-e0cd_298b11b980686493ce151887e2b59647fe046727.jpg4a432a8f-745d-2c2b_a8f5e8cb24a0d21cf04d128a785c944fedd7d194.jpg4a432a8f-746c-f3ba_7070d5fb59fce5814bc69a0a744c758ba0b74ed4.jpg

Looks good, did you leave the tires on when you painted them?

Looks great. I gotta get off my ass & paint mine. They look like crap after being balanced so many times & weights moved around the rim.

Yeah the tires were on, but the wheels/tires were off the truck. I used the index card trick, worked well...

Buddy owed me, so i had him paint mine. I used the metallic from my spruce mica in the black and it turned out ok.

has anyone out there had any experience on whether a gloss or matt finish holds up better? my matt paint is holding up fine but immediately after spraying felt like i should have used a satin or gloss, which apparently looks great

That's it, I'm doing it. Will hold me over for awhile until I get new wheels.

That's another reason for me, I plan on getting new rims when these tires are shot so I figured it would be cool for now...
