I realise last night a good many people do have or have had some sort of training in martial arts, fighting or boxing

maybe there should be a universal thread for those wanting to talk about their past training, current training, diet, weight training ect.

go ahead, explain your background and your skill

if you have pics or videos show them off to the TW community

this is for the people that know not only do their truck kick ass, but they do too!

but...no flaming others fighting style/technique, its not right, there is no true best all around martial art so dont flame on others

no flaming the way someone looks, looks can be decieving im short and a lil thicker than most (only 8% bf, dont worry) but i throw a good punch

and most importantly share your styles thoughts and opinions, teach someone something new, and enchourage learning, whether its introducing them to a new martial art or giving basic self defense tips, have fun and learn

I tried this quite a while back had a few takers maybe it will catch on this time. I'll chime in.

I'm 26 been involved in Aikijujutsu since 8 yrs old or about there.
I hold a 4th degree Black belt. I received my fist degree black when I was 14 or 15, continued training with Sensei Dan Gabus until he moved his school to another town and asked myself and another student to pic up the fist school which we did. I then taught for 3 yrs. Then teamed back up with Sensei and started getting rank. Back then MMA wasn't big nor was it allowed here in Louisiana. I got a job and a life for a few years. During that time my training diminished but I still practiced. I am now back at it somewhat, when work allows. Now some 18yrs later I still love it.

I also have rank in the juko kai, combat ki, I achieved a Brown belt from Dr. Rod Sacharnoski, Dai-Soke, 10th dan, a world renown Grandmaster. I do not respect this man nor will I ever associate with him, if you wish to know why Pm me.

I have also traveled to other states and worked with amazing teachers in all arts. Our schooling respects and promotes our students to look at other styles, its all about bettering ones self. Aight next.

I'm the guy all the way to the right, the man in with out the Gi is my Sensai (Teacher)

I stand up since i made this

My name is Kevin, i have been lifting weights for about a year, kick boxing 7 months. i first started because i thought it would be a good way to shed bodyfat. while attending a more women oriented kickboxing express i met a real instructor who has trained several people to fight in the rink. now i am somewhat proficient at kick boxing and would love to take up jui-jitsu.

i havent been to the gym in two weeks because of sickness and work but i get back in on friday. if anyone needs any help just pm me!

Never took any "proper" MMA classes, but i did box as an amateur in high school and the first 2 yrs of college.

My last fight was with this guy who was MMA trained and i thought i could box my way out of a MMA fight...Boy was I wrong...That little fu**er was fast...I could barely touch him...

I would have loved to start training in MMA but school came first and now a job and family...Looks like my bad ass days are over...lol

The last occasion I even came close to boxing was about 6 months ago...This drunk guy stumbled into my yard and my dog took a chunk out of his leg...To beat it all he was escorting his daughter around selling girl scout cookies...He was writing down my license plate number and address and all that crap...So i walked out to see what was going on and he got up in my face yelling at me...
You know that feeling you get right before the bell rings to start a fight? I had that feeling all over again...I was ready...But controlled...Nothing ever happened...But about 30 mins later a cop came knocking on my door...I had to contain my dog (chocolate lab - very dangerous...) for 10 days because this guy fell over my fence and lunged at my barking dog...

To beat it all, the wife was 6 months pregnant...worried her to death...the guy ended up being a drug addict and in some kinda weird anti god gang...She was worried he was gonna come back and try something...

Shoulda just kicked the shit out of him and been done with it...But i didnt want to go to jail with a kid on the way...

Needless to say...Nothing ever happened since...
