    Guys,

I just installed the right side OEM running board on my '08 Double Cab.

As you can see in the pictures, the front part is tight against the cab (behind the front right wheel).

It seems when I tighten the bolts on that bracket (that bolts to the cab underneath) it sucks the running board up tight to the cab.

    Any suggestions?

A little of this and a little of that.
Is the correct attach bracket in the correct position? Are the bolt holes slotted/elongated to provide some adjustment? Can you use an extra washer (or two) and longer bolt?

I had to adjust my step tubes that came with my truck because they weren't installed correctly. A little Dremel work and minor modification and now they're how I want them.

    Good luck!

Wow. I'd check the part number to make sure you have the right set. I just put the OEM running boards on my 2012 DCSB, and they fit perfectly. In particular, they are a bit longer than what I see in your pictures. Mine come all the way forward to the seam with the front fender flair.

make sure you have the correct bracket in the front position

the front bracket on most boards/bars/tubes ia a little different that the mid & rear due to the stock hole location is slightly different forward

This is right. Unless you took the brackets off the running boards (mine came from Toyota with them all attached), you really can't install them on the wrong sides; the holes won't line up.

The part number for my 2012 DCSB running boards is:pT212-35055. In addition, the instructions that come with them has a graphic that clearly identifies the right side running board from the left.

    Well guys,

I used 4 - 1/4" - washers and it brought that corner down enough so now it's level.

I just can't understand why the driver's side just bolted up correctly but the passenger side gave me problems.

I guess that's just the way it wants to fit?

something sounds wrong. you shouldn't have to use 4 washers to shim an OEM part.

I'd check the brackets. does the front bracket use both holes under the cab?

yup, the front bracket uses both of the holes under the cab, the holes in the bracket are round.

where as, the middle bracket and the end brackets have a slotted hole for the top bolt and then round holes for the bottom bolt.

    :/

sorry you had to have trouble with it. shouldn't have to...especially with OEM parts.

Nope. Something is wrong. Either on the truck or on the part. I have running boards and can cross reference any pictures you have by taking a peak at the truck.

    doesn't make sense

has the truck ever had damage to the passanger side? near the mounting position?

have you tried swapping the front bracket from the drivers side?
