Awesome! I plan on putting my DTRL LED's in on Friday. He gives you pretty detailed instructions and if you live near him (CA) he will install for you

csjumper2003 is very reputable on here and his LED's aren't the cheap ones. I seen a post where someone bought some on ebay and they turned black, they looked pretty horrible

    Ditto.

Relay & jumper came out to around $75 with shipping.

I'm doing a projector retrofit and BHLM into a new set of Depo "sport" housings.

While I have them open I'm going to remove the amber (piss yellow) lens and replace the lights themselves with the amber/silver lamps so they'll be straight silver when parked.

Here is just a quick Google search:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=Toy...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

It's not "just a few." A search on TW will show that there are a lot of '09's with melting problems, some so bad that the lens cracks in two.

That sucks that they never fixed the issue and just let it slide since 2005. I guess they figured they could charge an extra couple hundred bucks with trucks coming off the lot with DTRL's already installed and make a few bucks instead of caring about the truck and customer for the long run.

Got rid of the Dungflops. Lift to come.
I literally just finished doing the DTRLs. Its a super easy install. I didn't even get to finish my beer! Although, now it looks like I will be buying LEDS for them. In for pics.

Remove jumper, replace turn signal flasher relay with one from an '08 base model.

You can probably get the part from someone who has done the DRL-add mod.

it'll be cheaper if you just buy the parts from someone who'd done the DTRL mod. I think I still have mines in my tool box when I did my mod.

Installed the DTRL LED's today, took about 15 min! I will post pics once it gets darker outside. I got the amber led's, if you get the white/amber (white lights for DTRL and it turns to amber when turn signal is on) there's a lot more to it.

I meant to ask what happens to the parking lights on the outside of the headlights when you do the DTRL mod?

    Those are not affected.
The jumper/relay tie into the turn signal lamps. Headlights on, IIRC, the DTRLs shut off.
