    i've read this entire thread..

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/187518-2012-stock-tacoma-driveline-vibration.html

mine doesnt seem to have the 0-25-0 vibration 'that' bad... it does it sometimes but not consistently. however at highway speed it vibrates pretty good. but not terrible. is this 'normal'?? check out the video below... i had the cruise set at 70.. seems worse when going uphill when there is a strain on the drivetrain.

does it on all road surfaces.. so it's not the road. 2012 DCSB trd sport with 300 miles on it

is it worth taking to the dealer to complain?

    It's a truck, not a Lexus.

My 2012 DC LB does the same thing, I attributed it to being a truck. My turbo Honda shakes way more so I don't have much to complain about - the truck rides like a Lexus compared to the harsh riding Civic.

yes you should take it to the dealer and have the issue documented that way if something does go wrong its already in the system

thanks for the advice... i think i'll take it in and have them check it out.. even though i figure they'll say "that's normal" even if it's not. plus i need them to shut off the dumb seat belt chime since that's a 'dealer only customization' for 2012 :(. really makes getting the mail and driving to my apartment very annoying.

well it goes in tomorrow.. im going to go for a ride with a tech to show the vibration. Since i've posted the video it has gotten worse and now has a vibration/shake at all speeds. feels like a truck with 200,000 miles not 1,200

Purchased my vehicle brand new. Drove it from the dealer to my home which is about 5 miles away. Noticed a vibration right away at low speeds. Thought it could be just breaking in, so I left it till my complimentary 600 mile service/check up. The noise is the slightest shudder and it sounded like it was coming from the driveline somewhere. The noise can always be duplicated with the following conditions:

-truck is travelling at approx 20 mph
-off the accelerator with back pressure slowing the truck down
-transmission has downshifted to 2nd gear

Service appointment #1 (Home Dealership). I advised the techs of the problem and the vehicle was inspected. Nothing was located out of place or loose. Drove home and the noise was still there.

Service appointment #2 (Different Dealership). Noise duplicated for technician. They thought it was my after market dealer installed Toyota roof racks. Removed, drove around and noise still there. Roof racks reinstalled.

Service appointment #3 (Home Dealership). Noise duplicated for senior technician. Microphones attached to the undercarriage with headphones on the tech. Could not isolate. Called Toyota Canada and they believed it to be the front differential. Front diff replaced. Noise still there.

Service appointment #4 (Same Dealership as #2 appointment). Noise duplicated for senior technician. Under carriage and all components inspected and passed. Possible low auto transmission fluid, so they topped it off. Noise still there.

Service appointment #5 (Same Dealership as #2 appointment). Noise duplicated for senior technician again. Driveshaft from 2014 installed. Noise still there. Original driveshaft reinstalled.

Service appointment #6 (Same Dealership as #2 appointment). The Truck had approx 12,000 miles on it now. Upon inspection of the rear differential, there were metal shavings present and slight traces of rust. New rear differential installed and finally, the problem is gone.

Good luck. I read all the other forums and was stumped.
