    looking for help installing a high clearance rear bumper.....
    not sure how much needs to be cut off.....

    Kevin trimmed enough off those corners to fit the bumper. It amounted up to the little knuckle on the bottom of the black plastic covers. I trimmed my covers to match and put them back on. You may have to fit the bumper and see how it fits. If you didn't trim enough, keep going...then repeat.

    Check Joejoe's build thread. I think he has pictures of the cutting of the bumper. I didn't take any during the install :rolleyes:

    Might be a stupid question but you did take off the tire gate while you are maneuvering/mounting the bumper right? My rear bumper was easy to lift by myself, much easier than the front, can't imagine it's that much different for a 2nd gen. :confused:

    My rear bumper is about 2x the weight of my front......
    did my front by myself with ease
    the rear I cant even move around to paint it by myself....
    haven't put it on yet..soon tho.....got some more body work first....and painting/ cutting
    And yes that's without the tire gate on.....
